Thanks for coming out to Vol 2 Ed 1 of SDV

Hello Vancouver SD’ers!

On behalf of our team, I’d like to thank those who could join us for Volume 2 edition 1 of the Service Design Vancouver Meetup that took place on Sept 9th! We loved that we got to welcome quite a few new faces to our Meetup group and hope to continually build the Service Design community.

With new and existing members at the first meet up of the new season, it was really great to have the opportunity to get the opportunity to connect with each person.  For those who couldn’t join us, post social, we had a open dialogue presentation on what was accomplished in our first season, Vol 1, while hearing feedback on how we can make it useful and fun for everyone. Then we provided an overture of what we hope to provide and cover in format and content for Vol. 2.

With a facilitated collaborative discussion, the group collective agreed on our continuance of Hands-on Workshops where we introduce the Service Design methodologies, and will mix in some sessions of Show’n Tell / Speaker series, where those of us practicing Service Design can share our learnings, including triumphs and failures, so that we foster an open and collaborative learning environment for all of us in the community.

With that said, below is a video of the slide deck for those who wanted to reference it, and for those who couldn’t attend and wanted to be kept in the loop. For what resources were shared in Vol 1, feel free and check out our reading list, as well as the toolkit.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give myself or anyone of us a shout. We look forward to connecting with you!
